When you study with a teacher, you become part of a lineage. The two main cello lineages of the 20th century were the students of Pablo Casals (Yo-Yo Ma is from this lineage), and the students of János Starker. My two main teachers- Judith Glyde, and Rodney Farrar- are musical descendants of these prolific masters. Pablo Casals’ leading student, Bernard Greenhouse, taught my teacher, Judith Glyde. Janos Starker taught my other teacher, Rodney Farrar. Therefore, I am connected to both lineages. So when you study with me, you are also becoming part of a lineage that ties you to the greatest Cellists of the past century. Alexa offers Cello lessons in the Fort Collins and Loveland area.
